Colorful and blithe as he walks the streets of Hamelin, mysterious his story remains with no Happy End. The Pied Piper charms young and old to this very day.
The Brothers Grimm write that it was the year 1284 when a stranger arrived in Hamelin, a man who would make the city world famous. Even in America and Asia they know the Piper, whose magical music first saved the town from a plague of rats only to be used against the children after being euchred by the adults. He walks the streets of Hamelin to this very day. You may book the Piper for a guided tour or to greet your group. In the summer see him on stage at the Open-Air Play or RATS-Musical. Upon a walk through the town you might encounter him as a statue or glass window.
